The free checker stays on your device
Numbers you type and photos you scan in the free checker are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to us. The first time you scan, the free text-reading library (Tesseract) downloads to your device from a public CDN. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Your threshold settings, saved deal and unlock status are stored in your browser's local storage.
Share images
The optional score card image is drawn in your browser. By default it shows only your Deal Score and grade; flag counts and payment are added only if you tick the box. It is shared or saved only where you choose.
Cookies and analytics
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we enable visitor statistics, we will use a cookie-free, aggregate analytics service (such as Plausible or GoatCounter) that doesn't track you across sites, and we never send it your quote numbers.
What we receive
- Waitlist: your email, if you submit it.
- Free Dealership Checklist: your email, if you request the checklist. It is stored with Netlify Forms and used for Deal Red Pen updates. We don't sell it. Email us to be removed.
- Paid review: the name, email, notes and documents you submit on the review form, sent to us only when you press submit. We use them only to prepare your review.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive a payment confirmation (e.g. amount and session status), not your card number.
Hosting
The site and form submissions are hosted by Netlify, which may log standard technical data (like IP address) to operate the service.
